Forest Lawn Natural Playground Opening

Parks Foundation Calgary and Antyx Community Arts celebrates Calgary Playground Day with opening of new natural playground in Forest Lawn. 

Antyx Community Arts has engaged the community surrounding the park in what the neighbourhood would want in a natural playground. Through a series of public consultation meetings a park layout and design were conceived and developed. On Saturday October 17 we celebrate the opening of this new natural playground in Forest Lawn.  

The entire community is invited to attend Calgary Playground Day on Saturday, October 17th beginning at 11:00 a.m. 

The event will take place at the new Forest Lawn Natural Playground located at the green space of 43rd street and 10th Avenue SE. 

There will be music, art activities, games facilitated by Antyx's very own Youth Arts Action along with presentations by local elders, community members and leaders - including MLA Joe Ceci and Councillor Andre Chabot - and delicious food from M&M Meats!
