48-Hour Anti-Racism Film Festival

Antyx is proud to be supporting the Canadian Cultural Mosaic Foundation and their 48-Hour Anti-Racism Film Festival!

Event Date: Weekend: February 12-14, 2016 (5pm-5pm)

The 48-hour Anti-Racism Film Festival takes place during February and March of 2016 in Calgary, Alberta. This is because February is Black History Month and in March takes place the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

Teams and individuals who want to participate in the competition will have until Sunday, February 7, 2016 to register for the film festival. The 48-hour film challenge will take place on the weekend of February 12-14. Teams will meet at That Empty Space at the University of Calgary at 5pm on Friday, February 12 and be given a challenge they will have to incorporate into their films. Teams will have until 5pm Sunday, February 14 to hand in their submission. Submissions will be 2-5 minutes long and must be related to the subject of racial discrimination.

There will also be a Spoken Word Poetry Jam that takes place on Saturday February 13 at That Empty Space at the University of Calgary at 7pm.

If the participant is under the 18 years of age, they will need written permission from their parent or guardian to participate.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners. This event is FREE of charge!
