Our 2019 Recap: Ian Bazzalgette

We’ve kept our youths busy with both off and online program sessions! This year the youth have been working on numerous creative projects including knitting, crafts, spoken words, short films, scrapbooking and cooking/baking.  

Prior to Covid-19, Creative Club had been working on documenting a cooking journal/ scrapbook based on recipes that have some cultural or personal significance to the youth. The goal of this project was to construct a physical copy of the experience of cooking together to show the youth how their skills have developed, throughout the course of the project and to have something to look back to as a memory and as a way to celebrate their shared experiences. 

During the Covid-19 closure, Ian Baz programming has continued online through weekly Zoom meetings. The youth are currently wrapping up their journal with photos, quotes and poems which the youth will keep as a digital record of their experience together!
