Faces of Antyx: Alisha

Wrapping up our last #FeatureFriday of the 2020 is Alisha! She has recently created Walk With The WOC: a showcase of misogyny and racism, and how the two can overlap. Alisha and the other creators have done an amazing job of providing primarily women of colour a safe platform to share their stories to spread awareness and education. 

Q: How did you find your passions and how have you incorporated them into your life? Do your creations have a message you are trying to share?

A: We were asked to identify a social injustice and talk about that through a multimedia project. We chose to talk about a topic that impacts a good percent of the world, which was misogyny against women and racism towards women of colour. This was something that even I faced in my daily life so talking about it and just being able to know that other women or people feel the same was a big comfort to me and we want to be able to spread the same amount of comfort to other women who may feel like they cannot talk about what they may be facing. We are just trying to shed light on this topic as it is not talked about enough in society and is often looked down on if talked about.
