A familiar face for this week’s Faces of Antyx feature, Maverick! Maverick has been with Antyx for about 4 and a half years and we figured it was time for everyone else to get to know him a little better!
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself!
A: I'm just your regular adult-teen, some people call me random, an artist, a creative fella or a friend!
Q: What has been one of your favourite projects/events that you’ve been apart of?
A: My favourite project was when we performed on a stage in genesis, that was the first time I was paid to have fun!
Q: How did you find your passions and how have you incorporated them into what you do?
A: My passion is to make things whether it be by drawing, painting, sewing, ect. I discovered it through isolation. I use the creativity for self-entertainment, hence the label of random.
Q: What has been the biggest opposing force that you encountered on your creative journey?
A: My doubts, guilt feeling of selfishness and not enough people with the same interest to be friends with.
Q: What are you currently working on?
A: I'm currently working on a song thanks to my great friends and mentors Dwight and Bryan, besides that there's also snow skating and making a cosplay for Otafest!
Q: What is your biggest motivation?
A: My motivation is my family and friends that like my stuff, but I think my main fuel is boredom, that's why I have lots of hobbies to keep me busy.
Q: What is your dream project or goal?
A: Start my own business, could be a daycare, skatepark, a comic book store or be sponsored as a cosplayer!
Q: If you were stuck on a desert island with any movie character, who would you pick?
A: Optimus Prime cause he can call other autobots to bring us to safety.
