Faces of Antyx: Q

This week’s #FeatureFriday is Q! All artwork pictured below is created by Q.

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself!

A: I'm a taught artist and have been practicing since 2015. I first started making art as an outlet. It let me express myself creatively, without restrictions, regardless of my capabilities at the time. I practice multiple mediums of art ranging from the many different practices of traditional art such as paints, sketches, oils, sculpting, markers. To digital art and animation and have been practicing and continuing to improve since 2020.

Q: What has been one of your favourite projects that you’ve worked on?

A: As of today. One of my favourite projects are the pieces I did in my first ever Inktober. These are pieces I've challenged myself with where I only use inks.

Q: How did you find your passions and how have you incorporated them into what you do/your art?

A: My passion for making art derives from the things I see in my every day life. I love to make pieces that crashes fantasy into our reality. Or give some aspect of wonder to a piece of reality through my crafts.

Q: What has been the biggest opposing force that you encountered on your creative journey?

A: My biggest counter on my creative journey is my mentality. At times I would be overcome with a crippling sense of self-loathing and depression. Many times it becomes a hindrance where it prevents me from wanting to do anything. Though despite, I try my best to stride on.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

A: Put yourself first. It's okay to be selfish.

Q: What are you currently working on?

A: I'm currently working in number of personal projects, the biggest being a long illustrative story.

Q: What is your biggest motivation?

A: I strive to get better with my art every day, even if it's just the littlest of improvements, it's always been important to me. Because I want to see myself doing art as a living in the future. I want to be able to say I did something with myself. To achieve my goal.

Q: What is your dream project or goal?

A: I want to be able to make a living out of my art. Do something that I enjoy as a job. And I will keep going and do my best until I get there.
