Introducing Liam Crockford!
My name is Liam Crockford. I am a fourth-year student at Mount Royal University (MRU), studying public relations. I was born in Toronto, and I moved to Calgary in 2015. One interesting thing about me is that I had the fantastic opportunity to visit Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai. I spent three years working for a fast-food chain where I visited these places and trained staff for new restaurants. I had a lot of fun and got to meet some fantastic people during this time! I am excited to continue to work with Antyx this summer since I was with them as a part of my Community Service Learning project in my third-year at MRU.
If you could do something dangerous just once with no risk, what would you do?
If there was one dangerous thing that I could do without risk, it would be to go skydiving. I am terrified of heights. Knowing that there would be no risk would help me face my fear and finally attempt this!
What is your most prized possession?
My most prized possession is the ring that I bought as a memento in Saudi Arabia. The ring reminds me of the fantastic experiences that I had working abroad and the great people that I met along the way.
If you were given a chance to go to the moon, would you go? Why or why not?
If given a chance, I would definitely go to the moon! I think that would be an amazing experience to be able to look upon the earth like we do the moon. You could also see the solar system from a whole new perspective and see things you may not have seen before.
If you could only eat five foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?
My favourite foods are apples, cantaloupe, pasta, tacos and ice-cream! If I could only eat these for the rest of my life, I think I’d have all my favourite food groups covered.
If you could be an animal, what animal could you be?
If I could be any animal, I would be one that can fly. I have always wanted to be able to fly, so I think being any kind of bird would be really rad. You would have the freedom to go wherever you wanted!
